IndyMojo is proud to bring you this special edition of your weekly dose of bass fueled mischief….
~ ALTERED THURZDAZE ~
with special guests….
Advocate of deep, eclectic dance grooves and an atmospheric bass-flow to make you move.
Aaron Schafer aka Aasch (Ash), now under the moniker of Knotice, is an Indiana native – Never afraid to experiment or break the mold. His dynamic musical selections are all reflections of his current frame of mind.
As most DJ’s, and other humans, Knotice had been exposed to music in various forms at an early age – translating into his sets where he delineates and brews together all the pieces of this music that he loves best: beautiful synth melodies, silky backdrops, brooding basslines, and occasional vocal hooks; all with a foot-shuffling beat that he hopes you might happen to take ‘notice.’
“For me, it’s all about feeling the audience and elevating their mood, stimulating that groove. Playing tracks that strike emotions and senses, as well as getting the people to move; regardless of format, genre or style.”
The Sixis project fuses distinct sonic spaces with danceable bass music aesthetics to create a thought provoking and emotive experience. Synthetic and organic elements blur through field recording and electronic synthesis, generating a familiar yet alien trip through the body and out of the imagination. This is done in order to stimulate people to think about what is really going on and what connections can be made beneath the surface, even once they have left the dancefloor. Inspired by the ever changing world around us, this is merely a reflection of what has been and will be experienced.
*** As an added bonus, we will be working with the folks at PlayThink and will have some workshops with some instructors from PlayThink 2017.
We may also have some ticket giveaways and discounts!
