About

Lonesome Joy

Nashville based Lonesome Joy is a keys fronted rock n roll revival that knocks you down, lifts you up, and leaves you wanting more!

Americana with a backbeat. Modern-day roots-rock with classic songwriting. Music for today’s world, inspired by timeless artists like Harry Nilsson, Paul Simon, and the Beatles… with a sprinkle of the Black Crowes. That’s the sound of Lonesome Joy, the project from piano-pounding frontman Stevie Redstone.

After launching a critically-acclaimed career under his own name, Redstone found himself moving cross-country to Nashville. With that change of scenery came newer songs and a fresh aesthetic. Redstone gave this creative evolution a name — Lonesome Joy — and teamed up with eight-time Grammy winning producer Dave Cobb to record the album that would kickstart his next era as an artist. Tracked in 10 days, the self-titled Lonesome Joy matches genre-bending songwriting with the versatile vocals of a musician who’s willing to explore and evolve, nodding to the craftsmen who came before him while still charting new territory.

That exploration continues onstage, where Lonesome Joy’s songs are cracked open and expanded, with Redstone leading his band through extended versions of the album’s compact, hook-filled tracks. For the songwriter, it’s all about charting new ground. He’s still the driving force, but the vehicle has changed… and for Lonesome Joy, it’s full steam ahead.
