About
For more than a decade, Southern California alt-rockers Sublime With Rome have continued the legacy of their namesake while forging hits of their own.
∙ The group formed in 2009, when bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Bud Gaugh—both founding members of Sublime—decided to relaunch the band with a new singer/guitarist, Rome Ramirez.
∙ The trio’s 2011 debut album, Yours Truly, reached No. 9 on the Billboard 200.
∙ Following the departure of Gaugh, all-star drummer Josh Freese (Nine Inch Nails, A Perfect Circle) took his place and stayed on as an official band member through 2017.
∙ At Lana Del Rey’s request, Wilson performed on her 2019 cover of Sublime’s classic “Doin’ Time.”
∙ Helmed by veteran producer Rob Cavallo (Green Day, My Chemical Romance), the band’s third LP, 2019’s Blessings, reached No. 6 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart.
