The Odyssey Tour
with special guests…
There are chance occurrences in today’s sales-driven entertainment markets to witness amazingly raw, unbridled talent, the pioneering spirit behind Whitebear may easily serve as a textbook example and has been leaving many listeners speechless with the sophistication of his musical expression, as he progresses into greater and greater depths of electronica.
Whitebear has had the pleasure of playing festivals all around the world including Strawberry Fields (AUS), Total Eclipse Festival 2012 (AUS), Deliverance (AUS), Earth Frequency (AUS), Twisted Frequency (NZ), Envision Festival (Costa Rica), Ometeotl Festival (MEX), Sonic Bloom (USA), Enchanted Forest (USA), Shambhala Music Festival (CAN), Belantara Gathering (MAS) and numerous other club gigs. He has supported and played alongside the likes of Desert Dwellers, Opiuo, Phaeleh, Kalya Scintilla and many more.
Whitebear’s sound certainly lives up to the essence of his moniker, conjuring up imagery just as majestic and awe-inspiring as the creature itself, journeying across crystalline terrain, lonely, but never alone. The songs carry signature elements, a bold, weighty gait, growling basslines and a bristling, intense nature that one does not want to test adversely, all with a very clear element of being completely at home, defending and caring for all that is sacred. A comprehensive blend of east-meets-west melodies, tribal rhythms, modern synthesis and post Newtonian-physics mathematics, Whitebear songs sing proudly from a wordless, graceful balance point between mind and heart, of all-or-nothing vision quests, demanding every last shred of identity, promising only to stride beside as direction itself becomes a foreign theory.
The Minneapolis native BogTroTTeR has set roots in Denver and has been melting crowds throughout United States, Australia, and Canada since 2009. Through complex percussions and growling rhythms, BogTroTTeR’s diverse collage of original compositions challenges the scope of modern day psychedelic bass music. His sound pushes the limits through his own unique mixture of glitch-hop, breakbeats, and psy-bass with a dark, swampy twist. Murky bass lines and terrestrial synthesizers are just a few things contributing to the lustrous sound field amalgamated by BogTroTTeR.
He has quickly become a favorite at festivals such as Infrasound, Lucidity and last years’ Tipper and Friends’ Full Moon Gathering; inspiring a myriad of listeners to tread deep into his sound field, united by lustrous melodies.
BogTroTTeR has six releases creating complex terrestrial soundscapes on legendary Shanti Planti, Merkaba, and Addictech Records.
“Bogtrotter’s sound is a complex sculpture of professional disorientation, flooding your eardrums with endless undulating vocal synths that span a range of textures from warm to scratchy to buzzy to melty to chirpy in an intentional cacophony of bubbling audio characters” – LostinSound
Ejion is Matas Olsauskas who is a Producer/DJ hailing from Chicago Illinois. Matas has been involved with music for most of his life from school band to The Chicago Youth Concert Orchestra. Once Matas realized that music was going to play a major role in his life he decided to attend Ball State University to pursue a major in Music Technology.
Matas started to grow interest in the recording and production of music with the help of his brother Vinny Olsauskas (CEO of Real Metal Reviews). They recorded their first EP with their band Teratological Nightmare and ever since then Matas has been fascinated with recording and the technology behind all of it.
As for the electronic music production Matas has always been fascinated with electronic music and wanted to know more about the culture and production of it. As he delved into the topic more and more he realized that electronic music might be another interesting hobby and just like that Ejion was Born. Matas’s first alias for this project was SONORITY which later turned into Ejion. From the very first song he produced to the songs that are in progress now Matas has shown his love for music and hopes to deliver the same emotions to anyone who listens to Ejion.
