For 25 years, Calyx has forged an unprecedented path at the forefront of Drum and Bass. In his first decade as a solo artist, he had already amassed an astounding back-catalogue spanning most of the genre’s seminal labels.

After teaming up with TeeBee to form a duo in 2007, the pair reached new heights with chart-topping singles and their acclaimed LPs: ‘Anatomy’, ‘All Or Nothing’, ‘1X1’ and ‘Plates’.

After winning numerous awards including ‘Best Producer’, ‘Best Single’, ‘Best Album’ & ‘Best Video’; a near-constant run of radio plays led to the duo being asked to do a BBC Essential Mix – a true hall-of-fame moment for any artist in any genre. Their mix was then voted as one of the five nominees for ‘Essential Mix of the year’.

As Calyx reaches the quarter century mark in his DnB career, he has started a new chapter by returning to his roots as a solo artist, as well as continuing his collaborations with TeeBee. His first solo release on Critical Music has had an enormous impact on the DnB scene: ‘Tempest’ & ‘You Want It All’ topped charts and became a mainstay in headliner’s sets across the DnB spectrum.

With a stack of highly anticipated releases to come, 2023 is looking like yet another milestone year both for Calyx and Drum and Bass!

It all began in 2003. 2007 turned out to be especially successful – that’s when Enei released his first record on the Dutch label Fokuz. That’s when he also strated producing dubstep, which resulted in the second dubstep vinyl release in Russia, including one solo track and two co-produced tracks with Ka (aka Implex). More releases are coming on the biggest European labels, and more collaborations with producers from all over the world are taking place. In his sets Enei mixes old-school neuro funk and tech step with fresh and trendy futuristic minimal dnb from Metalheadz, Critical and other labels. His tracks are played by Nu Tone, Goldie, Andy C, Ed Rush, Sabre, DJ Hype, London Elektricity, Friction, Netsky, Kasra, Bailey and many others.

In the face of adversity, every scene needs its driving force. Just as every movement needs its pioneering leaders, every genre thrives on the efforts put forth by those with an insatiable love for the music. Through the endeavors of a select few, the drum and bass scene in America has smoothly transitioned from the dark, underground corners of the 90ʼs UK dance scene, right into our own backyards. Fallen, is one of the spearheading figureheads to thank for this.
Derek Finner, an Indiana native with a passion for drum and bass began his journey into the DJʼing community 20 years ago. With a devoted mind and a heart full of love for the music, Derek began playing events in the early Chicago rave scene. He then migrated to Los Angeles, where he found a place to stake his claim in the industry, Insomniac.

Through the years Derek would eventually launch his own drum and bass imprint, entitled “Icarus Audio.” This legendary label, co-founded by long time friend and partner Brandon Stewart(Staticalpha) would soon sign records from heavyweight artists such as State Of Mind, Maztek, Cause4Concern, Enei, Audio, A.M.C and Optiv amongst many more. Although this labelʼs output was largely-praised in the 174 community, his sights were set on expanding his career with Insomniac and pushing the boundaries of Bassrush. Fallen is now at the forefront of the drum and bass industry. In addition to launching its own record label featuring collaborations with Matrix and Futurebounds legendary Viper Recordings, Bassrush has also been awarded the title of “Best Overseas Promotor” amongst bass music giants, Let It Roll and Rampage.

Fallen wears many hats. His long standing career with Insomniac producing countless festivals paired well with being Drum and Bass talent buyer for Bassrush, head of drum and bass for Bassrush Records partnered with long time friend, Shane Armijo(Consouls), and resident dj/artist for Bassrush/Insomniac. Having performed at festivals on a national and international level such as EDC Vegas, EDC Mexico, EDC Brazil, Nocturnal Wonderland, Countdown, Funktion, Respect, and more Fallen has become known globally for his eccentric capabilities on 4 decks, his superb and exclusive track selection, and the quick and intricate mixing style only legendary entertainers such as Andy C, Friction, and Dieselboy are privy to. Prepare for a high intensity no holds barred performance of pure drum and bass destruction. Be sure to strap in and hang on…its going to be a wild ride.

Antik One was first introduced to the world of electronic music in the remote desert of Tucson, AZ in the late 90s. The ground shook with the bass, drawing him in and embedding in his soul like a nasty piece of jumping cactus. Flashing lights and the heavens above danced with him as found his second family in the rave community. Inspired by chance encounters with DJs Radar and Z-Tip during his first party that just happened to be a Moon Tribe event, Antik One set about to shape the sounds that would continue to breath life into the rave community like a mother’s womb. West Coast Drum & Bass, breaks, acid house and goa-trance would provide the soundtrack to the rest of his time in AZ. Once transplanted to Indiana, Antik found support from fellow deck warriors Seth & Mac at Evolving Records. Like many aspiring musician, Antik spent years honing his craft and developing his skills before his sound was ready for the masses. Starting in 2012 he began playing small shows around Indianapolis at The Melody Inn and The Emerson Theater. While Drum & Bass is Antik One’s passion, he has been exploring a wider variety of chilled out, flow-friendly tunes including electro-swing and the bouncier sounds of tech house and breaks. The results are mood altering, expanding ,and complimenting. The only thing they won’t do is fail to move your feet.
