* SECRET PANDA SOCIETY
Armada // Black Hole Recordings // Different Pieces // Akademik // Heavy Artillery
Whether it be a quirky sample, a chopped Baltimore club/dubstep remix of Stevie Nicks’ “Edge of Seventeen,” a dirty south infused bass monster backing up Lil Wayne’s “A Milli,” or an electro infused hip-hop remix of Yelawolf’s “Daddy’s Lambo,” this production duo brings a relentless assault of bass that keeps the dance floor hyped until the set is over.
The talent and creativity of Rob Stern and Joe Benny, aka the Secret Panda Society, ensures that no song is safe from being morphed into a dance floor destroying bass drop. With releases on Armada and Black Hole Recordings supported internationally, and multiple collaborations with Gabriel & Dresden, these two Pandas are beginning to be recognized across a variety of genres as big players in EDM. Collaborations include a featured remix of No. 1 trance tune, “Promises” by Andain, Pete Tong Essential Mix supported “Disco Sticks” by Josh Gabriel and Rob Stern, and “No Reservations” by G&D and Secret Panda Society, coming soon on Armada.
In addition to the massive production efforts from the Secret Panda Society, its live show for festivals showcases sponsored drummer Joe Benny’s mesmerizing skills, praised by dubstep giant Xilent, who wrote, “Huge props to this guy! Awesome to see something like this, makes me want to play drums again ; – )” as he reposted Benny’s drum cover to all of his fans.
So load up on bamboo, put your panda mask on, and get ready to make a jailbreak from the EDM Zoo. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
The jFET Project began in early 2011 by Producer / DJ “Jangatha.” After over 50 house music releases on some of the most respected labels in both digital and vinyl format, the need to seek fresh sounds was instilled and inspired by the edgy bass music arena. The focus is rather simple, to push fresh hype sounds in any BPM it fits with best. With already one release which reached #15 on the Beatport Dubstep Release charts, there are several EP’s and remixes aligned to come out on some of the most established dubstep labels. With support from touring acts such as Figure, Urban Assault, & Reid Speed, we will likely be hearing much more to come from this barely year old project. jFET: Intergalactic Hitman / Producer / Performer.
