Nectar Valley is a young, high-energy, genre-blending string band rooted in Kentucky’s rich musical soil. What began as a few friends picking tunes for fun in Owensboro, KY, has grown into a dynamic four-piece act now based in Louisville, Kentucky. The lineup features Landon Kotarek (mandolin, vocals), Tristen Norfleet (guitar, vocals), Austin Quinton (banjo, vocals), and Ronnie Saxon (upright bass, vocals). upcoming shows page to follow their toe-tapping energy live.

About
Landon founded the band in 2019 after recently discovering his love for bluegrass/string music from a local festival. With no former musical experience, he was inspired to pick up the mandolin so he could jam with the community. This led to the creation of the band and in 2020, he and Quinton moved into the Steven House in Louisville, Kentucky. The location was ran as a venue by the former owner and Landon decided to continue this and host shows and music there. This is where the band settled into its members and connected to the music and community of the surrounding area. Steven House hosted dozens of shows while they lived there which included everything from local smaller acts to bigger touring acts. Nectar Valley released their debut album during this time as well. While they moved out of Steven House in 2022, Landon still resides in Louisville, Kentucky and his passion for the local musical community has never been stronger. Now, Landon helps manage Nectar Valley’s very own music festival called WillyStock. He looks forward to the 1st one coming up in 2024. His inspirations are Jeff Austin of Yonder Mountain String Band, Restless Leg String Band, and Billy Strings.

Cold Front is an exciting new Indianapolis based Bluegrass trio featuring 3 well known players within our local bluegrass community. The bands performance will feature lots of originals as well as traditional songs and popular covers. This is that high lonesome sound that brings you musical solitude through Appalachian tradition!
