Philia w/ Porch Kat & Pet Envy – Saturday, December 1st

Philia is indie-electronica-dance music created by the producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist -Dan Giffin.

The word “Philia” comes from 1 of the 4 Ancient Greek words to describe love. Philia represents “brotherly-love” or “intimate-friendship”.

A live Philia show blends improvised DJing with drums and guitar, creating positive, dance-able, blissful-vibes that make you want to dance. Philia has shared the stage with international artists including Tiësto and performed at major festivals such as Electric Forest 2017.

Philia started after Dan studied in New York City at the innovative underground music academy -Dubspot learning Ableton Live. He then mentored underneath Grammy & Platinum audio engineers before moving to Indianapolis to work with The Lodge Recording Studios in Indianapolis to co-found The Lodge Academy.

We like jamming over funky bass lines and pocketed grooves. We like to take songs and add our own dose of CraZiness to them. We are here to turn your world upside down

Pet Envy formed in Nashville, TN in 2015. Since then the quintet has quickly gained a loyal following and is thrilling audiences with their radio-friendly sing-a-longs. They captured their first award as Best Pop Band at the Nashville Industry Music Awards in Summer 2016. The band is winning over more fans and critics alike with their hybrid pop, rock, R&B sound. Quickly capitalizing on their early success, the band has finished recording their follow up EP with special guest appearances from Jeff Coffin (Dave Matthews, Béla Fleck), Roy Agee ( Prince, Glenn Miller Orchestra), and once again produced by Josh Reynolds ( Little Big Town, Joe Nichols) & Trevor Anema. Released in September 2017, Flowers for Your Brain is a sonic dream that will captivate audiences and keep hips shaking.
