The Werks have emerged & established themselves as a band who delivers an electrifying dance party to beloved fans across the musical spectrum. Fusing psychedelic shredding, wailing organ, and slap bass with synthesizers and modern dance beats, their live shows encompass a sensational blend of rock with deep electronic funk.

The seasoned jam-centric quartet brings together a sonically superior mix of otherworldly explorations and revelatory lyrics. Fresh off the 7th incarnation of their “Werk Out Music & Arts Festival”, which draws 5000+ people to Ohio every August, they’ll hit the road once again for a number of headline dates as well as shows supporting peers like Umphrey’s McGee & Moe.

On their new LP Magic, The Werks transcend their roots while never losing their identity. Poignant songwriting and engaging melody come together on a record that showcases their maturation as a multidimensional group of uniquely creative musicians.

“Filled with both cryptic electricity and hypnotic bliss. The Werks have taken their songwriting to the next level, incorporating a kaleidoscope of rock genres, while retaining a perfect dose of soul.” -Glide Magazine

Ultraviolet Hippopotamus is an explosive five-piece progressive improvisational band with a rapidly growing fan base across the U.S. and, more recently, Europe. Described as “brightening the future of the jam band scene,” Ultraviolet Hippopotamus mixes tight, funky jams with new dance beats, heartfelt lyrics, compelling composition, eccentric effects and a vibrant light show for an incredible, one-of-a-kind musical experience. Known for its on-stage musical alchemy – cultivated from years of relentless touring – the band performs an eclectic selection of technically demanding compositions and improvised material along with unconventional and fun covers.
The group deftly journeys between funk, jazz, livetronica, space rock, reggae, bluegrass, and progressive rock within a single show and, sometimes, within a single song. Exploring new ground and taking risks make every performance unique, and fans are never sure what exactly the band will deliver each night; other than exceptional music.

Anyone remotely familiar with the ‘jam band sound’ will immediately recognize Ultraviolet Hippopotamus’ influences and genre-mixing musical objectives, but the band adds a level of talent, intricacy and polish that truly sets it apart. Tight, energetic jams and outstanding vocals — a true rarity among the band’s peers — coupled with the act’s spontaneity and strong songwriting add to its appeal. The word is out, and the band is quickly developing into an international sensation.

Ultraviolet Hippopotamus’ highly praised third album, “Square Pegs, Round Holes,” reached No. 3 and spent much of the year in the top 25 of the Relix Magazine/Jambands.com National Radio Chart and was voted “2011 Studio Album of the Year” at the Home Grown Music Network. It also received similar nominations from several radio programs, among other acclaim. The album continues to sell steadily and receives airplay across the U.S. as well as internationally in Italy, Brazil, France, Switzerland, England, Spain, Germany and other countries.

SassafraZ is a super collection of six great guys who live their lives with the emphasis on the offbeat. They like to hang out and make big, loud sounds. All six really enjoy holding a groove, grooving out, grooving in, and just plain moving and grooving.

Started by multi-instrumentalists Jack Gould and Zach Pontzer in 2012, SassafraZ quickly took the midwest music scene by storm, playing shows with notable groups such as Snarky Puppy, Galactic, Papadosio, The Werks, Dopapod, and many more. The band released its first album “Time Will Tell” in 2013 and the follow up “Move Your Body” a year later in 2014.

Jack plays the sax, keys, sings, and keeps all of these animals in line. Zach plays guitar, trumpet, sings and can scale walls like Spiderman (which is surprisingly handy on the road). Jake AKA Baby Hands plays bass, sleeps in late, and has really little hands. Thane lives in a magical old mansion, plays the keys, sings, and is an avid gardener. Sexy Dave is sexy. He also plays the drums. The newest addition to the band, Ian Carroll straight up shreds on guitar. There’s no jokes about him, he seriously wails.

Some of the band’s favorite things include rimshots, dominant seventh chords, and some hearty Southern cooking. Hang out with them, but when you hear the funk be prepared to bounce up and down with them.

Jahman Brahman is a four-member collaboration originating from Columbus, Ohio in 2005, and currently residing in the mountains of Asheville, NC. The musical intuition of each member overcomes the restrictions of any particular genre as they pioneer the musical trail with a sound completely their own. The name Jahman Brahman emerged from each member’s goal to achieve the ultimate state of musical cohesion; each instrument connected to one another to create a piece of music from the heart of one.

They’ve described their particular style as shred ‘n’ flow, a dynamic sound with a wide breath of influence, but a focus on rich, fluid, progressions of energy. Providing the low end, Nate “Brother” Brown brings his own style of funked out and super fresh bass grooves giving depth to Justin Brown’s full and conscious lyrics. Drummer Chuck Knott gives the sound its steady concrete pulse providing the heartbeat for Casey Chanatry's riveting guitar-work. Combined, Jahman Brahman leaves the listener with a message on life, love, and the wonders experienced being part of an extraordinary musical family.

Each member holds a unique passion toward many different audio paths, with influences ranging from classic rock to electronica; from punk to jazz. Instead of conforming, they ascend music through the coalescence of their diverse styles, taking risks that unfold into powerful jams and creative compositions.

A fusion of highly danceable rock, intricate song craftsmanship and psychedelic funk. Set out to make every show inspiring. Imagine going to a double matinee showing of Led Zeppelin & P-Funk at Dream Theater and then heading to an Amsterdam discotheque to dance until the sun came up. That's about as close as can be described without seeing Soap for yourself.

Originally from just south of Chicago, Illinois, Soap uprooted and moved to Minneapolis in 2007 and has become a staple in the thriving Twin Cities music scene. For nearly four years Soap held down a weekly Wednesday residency at The Cabooze, a long-standing tradition at the legendary Minneapolis venue. Following the likes of The Big Wu and God Johnson, Soap not only continued that tradition, but has expanded on it with a new allegiance of fans. These strong Midwest ties have also helped the band tour successfully throughout the region and beyond, notching over 120 shows each of the past four years.

Soap has become a favorite on the festival circuit, performing at Summer Camp Music Festival (x2), 10,000 Lakes Festival (x2), , Wakarusa Music Festival, Big Wu Family Reunion (x2), Bella Music Festivals (x4), Prairie Grass Music Festival (x2), Whippersnap Music Festival (x2), Shoe Fest (x4), Wookiefoot’s Project Earth and Shangri-La Festival (x4), as well as sharing the stage with notable acts and performers, such as Tea Leaf Green, Zach Deputy, Bernie Worrell, The Motet, Rebirth Brass Band, Hot Buttered Rum, Wookiefoot, Kinetix, Jon Wayne & The Pain, Heatbox, Steve Molitz and more.
