About

Late Night Radio

Hustling to make his mark in Denver, Colorado’s electronic music melting pot, Late Night Radio is earning the respect of fans and peers alike through prolific production, innovative experimentation, and a dogged dedication to the craft. Alex Medellin has put in his time in the industry, coming up in Texas and California, but his ascension in the Colorado scene speaks to his ability to not only create a stunning array of original tracks, but bring them to life on stage, practicing what he preaches—guided by the mantra “emotion over energy.”

About

MT Nasty

Since 2010, Indiana-based EMP (Electronic Music Producer/Performer), MT Nasty, has been bringing his unique brand of wonky, chopped-beat auditory arson to the masses. Created and performed entirely in Ableton Live, MT’s performances focus on live beat/bassline creation and manipulation using complex, self-created mappings for an array of MIDI controllers. The result is an unmistakably individual sound, with an emphasis on live audio manipulation and controllerism in the vein of cutting edge producers/Ableton educators such as ill.Gates and Jon Margulies (Hobotech). MT Nasty’s penchant for tossing classic Hip-Hop and R & B samples lends a degree familiarity to a sound that otherwise has its roots in 2020 and beyond. Look and listen to MT Nasty for an innovative approach to both the production and performance of contemporary Electronic Music.

About

Christian the DJ

Christian cut his teeth on the dance floors of the midwest rave scene of the late 90’s.
With his diverse music palate, he’s had the opportunity to open for Frankie Bones, Mark Farina, GRiZ, G Jones, Manic Focus, and the Floozies.

You don’t merely witness Christian — you experience him. Watching Christian perform is a lesson in technical DJ proficiency, a proficiency that has grabbed the attention and respect of the local Indianapolis Bass scene.

To him, tracks aren’t just songs. They are scenes to a film, chapters to a novel. And it’s the narrative approach to his dancefloor assault that reveals his true level of expertise.

* GOVINDA
Austin, TX
http://govindamusic.com/
https://www.facebook.com/govindamusic

Govinda is the alter-ego of Austin based producer/composer Shane Madden. He began studying violin and composition at the age of eight and went on to study classical violin at the University of Texas where he fell in love with electronic music production. It was in Madden’s pursuit of his gypsy roots that he opened his ears to music from around the world. From experiences learning violin with mysterious masters on his journeys across the globe and his passion for modern design and technology, the current sound of Govinda was born.

Govinda has played with Thievery Corporation, Tipper, Bassnectar, Shpongle, Cheb I Sabbah, STS9 and many more and been featured on over 25 compilations such as Buddha Bar II, Asian Travels II, and Nirvana Lounge selling a combined 400,000 copies. Govinda has played at numerous festivals throughout North America including Coachella, Lightning in a Bottle, Sea of Dreams, SXSW and more. Govinda’s music has been licensed on shows like WB’s “Roswell,” MTV’s “Road Rules,” and Bravo’s “Queer Eye for the Straight Guy” as well as many independent films.

The Govinda live show immerses the audience with a textured atmosphere of exotic, dubby vibrations interwoven with cosmic visual projections, world class dancers and mesmerizing vocals- all to the magic of his live electronics and violin.

IndyMojo Presents: Dopapod @ The Mousetrap

IndyMojo Presents: Dopapod @ The Mousetrap

Dopapod stops through Indianapolis, IN at The Mousetrap as a part of their 2014 Winter Tour.

* DOPAPOD
Brooklyn, NY
https://www.facebook.com/dopapod

“Dopapod isn’t so much a jam band as they are a band that improvises. They are an electronic band without computers. They are a metal band with groove and soul. They are a jazz group with less wine and more acid. They are what would happen if Zappa, Yes, Deadmau5, and The Meters all sat down for a cup of coffee.”
-RVA mag

With no regard towards towards stylistic boundaries, the sound that emerges from Dopapod both live and in the studio is as varied and diverse as the many influences that they adapt from. Their approach and commitment to complementing a distinct genre bending sound to top-notch musicianship has set them apart from many of their contemporaries and keeps music lovers eagerly returning to shows.

Dopapod has been touring nationally playing 150+ shows a year for the last three years. Their rigorous tour schedule has seen the young, yet seasoned group make appearances at numerous festivals including Rootwire, Gathering of the Vibes, Bonnaroo, Mountain Jam, Burning Man, Bear Creek, The Big Up, Camp Bisco, and more. Their electric live showcase has been cultivating a fast growing and loyal fan base.

Their third studio effort ‘Redivider’ was release on December 21st 2012. Having been recorded and released less than a year after the band’s last record Drawn Onward came out, recording was done at Tyrone Farm, a scenic and completely solar powered farm in the small town of Pomfret, CT. Opting to take a different route than recording in a studio, the band brought their own to the barn of the farm and produced it by themselves. Redivider displays a drastic evolution in the band’s songwriting skills as well as marking the first time ever that the band has added vocals into songs. The added texture serves as yet another dimension in what allows the band to look in multiple directions at one time while remaining focused on a cohesive blend of sound.

IndyMojo Presents: Signal Path

IndyMojo Presents: Signal PathIndymojo.com is happy to welcome back the gang from Denver, CO who helped us celebrate our Altered Thurzdaze 2 year anniversary last Summer! This time, on a Friday!

* SIGNAL PATH
Denver, CO
http://www.signalpathmusic.com/
http://www.facebook.com/signalpathmusic

Signal Path began in the mountains of Missoula, MT in 2001 where they forged a unique brand of electronic dance music by splicing technology with raw instrumentalism. Now thriving in one of the most explosive electronic scenes in the country, the Denver based band creates powerful studio work and wildly popular live shows. Playing to packed crowds throughout the US, Signal Path’s unique live experience is as beautiful as it is intense as they bend guitars, basses, drums, mandolins, and the bajo quinto around a core of unrelenting rhythm and massive low end production.

After releasing five albums of entirely original music between 2010 – 2011 including a full length entitled Imaginary Lines in Sept of 2010, and then releasing a new EP on the first day of each new season throughout 2011, this prolific band is about to release a studio project unlike anything they’ve ever done.
Signal Path’s new mixtaEP will feature remixes mashed up with Signal Path’s unique take on electronic music. Artists featured include, Zola Jesus, The Roots, Active Child, Skrillex, Austra, Shabazz Palaces, Mode Selektor, Main Attrakzions, Asap Rocky, Sleighbells, and Cults.

With this new studio release, Signal Path has taken some of their favorite current artists and sliced, diced, and turned them into a musical collage unlike anything they’ve done before. From the unlikely, yet emotionally deep Zola Jesus/Skrillex mashup to the instant banger, Swerve, featuring Shabazz Palaces, this new mixtaEP is pure ear candy for not only hardcore SP fans but fans of electronic, hip hop, and indie music as a whole!

Signal Path | mixtaEP will be released April 21st FREE through their website www.signalpathmusic.com

ALL of signal Path’s music is made available with love and without charge through http://www.signalpathmusic.com/
