About

Bumpin’ Uglies was formed by lead singer/guitarist/song-writer Brandon Hardesty in 2008, when he set out to create a sound and an approach that was unique and immediately identifiable. It’s the same thing every artist says that they want when they form their band, but Bumpin’ Uglies are the rare act that does stand out in every way, making them utterly memorable to everyone the come across. They incorporate many styles into their music, with a major emphasis on ska, reggae and punk. But they don’t really care what bucket you want to put them in, either you love ‘em or you don’t—it’s your choice to join the party or sit outside instead; and It’s always more fun in the party.

With two full-length LP’s, a live show LP and two EP’s under their belt, Bumpin’ Uglies prolific studio work is the product of continuous song writing and a desire to keep putting out fresh material for their ever-growing fan base. They achieved national recognition with the release of their 2011 LP “Free Candy”, and they have continued to gain momentum with each subsequent release, including “Load in-Load Out” (live show LP), Ninjah Reggae Assassins (LP released in 2013 which reached #1 on iTunes Reggae chart), and EP’s “Freak Out Hell Bus” and “Sublime with No One”, both released in 2015.

Bumpin’ Uglies match their output in the studio with a road-warrior approach to touring that makes it seem as though they rarely come off the road. To date, they have completed 8 national tours, and dozens of regional tours. They have toured as direct support for Ballyhoo! and co-headlined a tour with Bastard Suns, moving effortlessly between punk and reggae crowds who flock to Bumpin’ Uglies in equal measures. Their touring dossier is topped off with some major festival experience, including California Roots in 2014, the Rombello Cruise in 2013 and Warped Tour in 2012.

Bumpin’ Uglies have proven every existing maxim about hard work paying off in the last several years. Their DIY ethic coupled with their grassroots approach for building a major national fan base makes them the epitome of punk rock, but that description sorely sells their music short. Bold, a bit brash perhaps at times, but Bumpin’ Uglies name, their songs and their work ethic get a definite point across: they make music their way, enjoying a freedom that is easy to aspire to, but most difficult to achieve together with success. In this day and age of political correctness and people growing more uptight and offended by the minute, it doesn’t take long to realize that Brandon and Bumpin’ Uglies “Eff you/can do” attitude makes them stand separate and apart as a band. And their fans love them for it.

About

Art of Ill Fusion

2016: This will be Art of ILL Fusion’s 13th year on the road and in the studio for the band from Central Illinois that plays almost every genre you love, primarily, reggae, funk, and psychedelic rock !! They are slated to release another new album that they will finish recording later this year. It will be comprised of almost all new material, and new songs which only 3 out of 12 of them, have even been performed live as of yet. This will be the first album that they have been writing together as a band before they take them on the stage. They have been constantly evolving their songwriting as well as their sound and this album will prove again the extreme diversity and will display their crossover appeal. They toured heavily in 2015 promoting their February 2015 album release “The Same” which saw them play shows from Brooklyn, New York all the way to San Francisco, California and everywhere in between, including headlining several festivals in the Midwest and in the South, including SxSW in Austin, Texas last March. Their live show has developed in to a high energy affair that has seen the band really catch their stride in the improv game and getting in tune with each other.

2015, is their 12th year, on the road, in the studio, in the band and they are not slowing down. Their new album “The Same” was released on February 5th on iTunes and several other digital media markets, It is the first album on their new label Transcendent Records. They were signed in 2013 to this new up and coming midwest independent label. The tracks were recorded at I.V. Labs Studios in Chicago, but also, they have refocused on writing new material for a new album and for their live show, they have added a good amount of bust out covers in the last few months of shows. The famed studio in Chicago is known for it’s work with Lupe Fiasco, Fall Out Boy, Umphrey’s McGee, Yonder Mountain, Old Shoe, and Chicago Farmer to name a few. AIF also just finished hosting their own festival called “The Art Fair”. It was the 5th year for the festival. In past years they have had a host of acts from all over the country including them playing a Frank Zappa set in 2012 with Ray White and Ike Willis who both played with Frank himself and sit ins from Regi Wooten, Joe Day (Old Shoe) and Stephen Cook (Fresh Hops). They also have steadily continued playing the festival circuit including: Summercamp, Shoefest, Whippersnapp Festival, Festy Fest, Jammin on the Wolf, Grateful Friends Fest, Grateful Garcia Gathering, Camp Kind, and countless other events around the country. They have toured Colorado a few times, as well as stops in New Mexico, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Maryland, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, New York, Virginia. Their music can be described as a bit of a throwback consisting with equal parts Funk, Reggae, Rock, and psychedelic improv jams. They have also covered whole sets from artists for Halloween including, Grateful Dead, JGB, Curtis Mayfield, Jimmy Cliff, and in 2012, Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic” album showing why they are considered one of the most versatile bands in the region. WINTER TOUR was FEBRUARY – MARCH 2015 and included shows with JGB, Consider the Source, and Naive Melodies (Talking Heads Tribute Nor Cal ) and a host of special guests including Marcus Rezak (Digital Tape Machine ). This last run they went to California, Oregon, Nevada, and Austin, Texas for the first time as well as several states they have been before.

Spiritual Rez

About

With their latest release, APOCALYPSE WHENEVER, Boston’s beloved reggae-rock funkateers Spiritual Rez deliver their most triumphant musical offering yet. Produced by lead singer Toft Willingham, co-produced by bassist Jesse Shaternick, and mastered by legendary engineer Howie Weinberg (Ramones, Beastie Boys, Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers), the 14-track collection of infectious anthems is chock-full of rollicking guitar riffs, ocean-bathed melodies, swagger-centric basslines, crisp soaring horns, and ska-infused jam sections that have come to define Rez’s progressive signature sound. While their groove is primarily rooted in rock, reggae, and funk traditions, the septet draws stylistic influence from nearly every musical movement of the 20th century. Over the past 9 years, Rez has tirelessly toured the country ten times over, cemented their status as a consistent festival favorite, and honed their exhilarating live show into an incomparable, unabashed musical extravaganza.
