But if you enjoy the way modern artists continue to tinker with the perceived limitations of Electronic music, you might just end up calling Skeetones your new favorite band.” -Mike Breen, Cincinnati City Beat Skeetones bring a new generation of music to the Midwest’s electronic landscape. While programmed tracks lay the foundation for songwriting, the music comes to life during the band’s energetic performances. From chopping acapella samples to wobbling bass lines, Skeetones create on-the-fly remixes of their own songs without using a single loop or backing track. They continue to emphasize their live take on sounds such as acid house, hip hop, downtempo, and dubstep, all while keeping sight of their multi-instrumentalist and improvisational foundation. They have shared stages throughout the Midwest with bands such as Pnuma Trio, Umphrey’s McGee, Flying Lotus, The Macpodz, Big Gigantic, and Papadosio. This cultivated ensemble continues to accomplish the seemingly impossible task of entertaining the thinking mind and the dancing feet alike, leaving listeners reformulating their conception of live electronic music. Indymojo.com is VERY proud to bring Altered Thurzdaze one of the fastest rising stars in the dubstep scene for FREE…. CLAW OF HULK Hulk is a collaboration of Claw & Richie August, two creative minds that share a similar production style and enthusiasm for heavy bass driven music. After meeting at the 2009 Winter Music Conference in Miami, they began to send files back and forth to collaborate on projects in Dubstep, Hip Hop and Electro. Since the inception, Hulk has been catching the eyes and ears of artists such as The Glitch Mob, Dieselboy, Reid Speed, Reso, The GasLamp Killer, High Rankin, iwrestledabearonce and DJ Lord of Public Enemy, among others. 2010 saw Hulk’s first official release, dropping on Reid Speed’s Play Me Records as a Beatport Exclusive. Forthcoming releases on Foulplay, Shift, and Play Me Records are already creating a buzz around the duo. What’s more, the recent launch of their own record label, BroTown Records has the scene begging for the slated releases to drop, featuring tunes by Veelk, Bukez Finezt, Rsk, Lonestar, as well as tunes by Claw, Richie August, and Hulk themselves. Claw emerged in Houston, Texas in 1999, at the age of 15. He was well-received from the start, making contacts with the local rave DJs of the time. By the time he was 16, he was playing at some of Houstons bigger underground parties and weekly events. After graduating high school, he moved to Florida to pursue music as a profession and began playing at weekly events. After finishing his music engineering studies at Fullsail in Orlando, Claw made his way across New York working at numerous studios with various engineers and producers. He then moved to Las Vegas to pursue his record label with Trillbass, which he co-founded. Claw also just did an official Dubstep remix for Wu-Tang that debuted at # 7 on the ITunes Hip Hop chart, and is currently back living in NY to run his art gallery and record label ventures. Whether in the studio or on the stage, get ready for the biggest bass in the game!
