Between Berto’s sturdy, rambunctious beats, rhythmic bass, and ambient, atmospheric synthesizer, and Ben’s guitar riffs stabbing through the atmosphere, accompanied by electronic bass, ripping synth melodies, and unique vocal tracks Astro Boogie blends hip hop, house, and 80’s electronica with punk rock, blues, and jazz to create a slammin’ jammin’ sound straight from outer space! With support from…. * JIN-XS For the last several years, Jin-XS has become a recognizable face in the Indianapolis DJ spectrum, especially in the Electro-house and Industrial genres. Born in Uqbar, later moving to Broad Ripple at the age of 3, Jin-XS spent much of his youth and teens in the rave, industrial, and hip hop undergrounds, but he truly began his own musical journey way back in 1999 in Denver, when a cousin taught him the ins and outs of using DJ equipment. Around this time he also began teaching himself a variety of music software. By 2003, he had begun his work with instrumental production and learning the art of DJing itself, and continues to the present, spinning an eclectic mix of genres in some of Indianapolis biggest music venues. In recent years, he has shifted his focus to Electro-house, pushing forth one of the biggest new genres to hit the scene. In 2009 he opened for “End:The DJ,” the #1 Industrial DJ in the world, at Gencon. He is currently an official DJ for Invent Fusion Entertainment, holds several residencies at Tru, and is co-promoter of the Crash! Productions crew with DJ Gir.
