Disco, Metal, House. The 3 words most commonly used to describe the aggressive and highly-energized audio/visual experience that is Bad Dagger. Since first coming on to the scene as a group in early 2012, these 2 dynamic and talented artists have impressed and entertained audiences with their creative and unique presentation of audio production and musical performance. Bad Dagger has appropriately been called less of a band, and more closely resembling “one instrument that takes multiple people to play.”
Based in Indianapolis, IN, Bad Dagger is currently comprised of 2 members. Cameron Reel provides live audio production (synths, basses, pads, leads via Ableton/ MacBook Pro) as well playing bass guitar. On drum set and sample pad, Eddie Roodvoets provides an intense and nonstop energy to the music. Extremely danceable and cinematic, this act has a tendency to switch gears without warning, making it possible to touch on a wide array of genres in each set. They make use of this versatility with relentless passion and vigor.
Their blend of musical genres is indeed unique. Nothing sounds like Bad Dagger. Monumental and sublime at times, then hard, dark and anchored at others. A typical Bad Dagger set is certainly wide in scope, touching on elements of Electro, House, Metal, Prog, Funk, Disco, and Big Beat. These elements and more combine in such a way that Bad Dagger leaves each audience member with a sense of having an experience rather than just having seen a concert.

Eumatik is a living, trance-inducing, funk-blasting, dance mechanism that stimulates the mind by being harmonically innovative and experimental, yet easily accessible in the conventions of modern electronica. What makes their approach to music so interesting is their ability to allure the listener with catchy hooks, slowly lead them outside their accustomed musical boundaries by means of developing harmony, and finally bring them back within a single composition. This is accomplished by fusing a diverse variety of musical techniques that range from jazz theory to 18th century counterpoint. Although their music is thoroughly composed, it contains lengthy sections of improvisation that make every live show unique. Eumatik brings elements of hip hop, funk, trance, jazz, dubstep and disco into ideas that reorder the perception of its own genre-based facade by tastefully covering an incredibly large range of musical concepts. Another important aspect that contributes to their thumb-print sound is their mix of vintage keyboards with ultra-modern sound design and synthesis.
As much of their time off-stage is spent organizing and maintaining a focused outlook on each composition, Eumatik is constantly looking for fresh and innovative ways to use music technology as a tool for improvisation. When they're on-stage, they strive to keep the crowd dancing while making sure everything is melodically and harmonically interesting at the same time. While performing, the overall form and direction is controlled by Josh Lockwood, who utilizes Abelton Live along with an Akai MPK and APC. Jazz pianist, Ashton Kleemann, is constantly playing signature parts on various keyboards along with a MIDI-keyboard that Josh runs Ableton effects through. This MIDI-keyboard directly interacts with what is being played live to create a bizarre and unique atmosphere of band member communication. Mix in the organic sounds of their live drummer, Derek Shelton, and you hear the UFO-summoning, twist-bopping, trance-inducing, disco-fever-catching sounds that are Eumatik.
Even with the departure of longtime member Nick Gerlach in September 2013, The Twin Cats continue with their original brand of Face Melting Funk In Your Face………Melting It.

Megan Maudlin is a 28 year old folksinger/songwriter from Columbus, IN. Born and raised in the midwest, Maudlin has been performing on stage for over ten years. At age eight she discovered a passion for singing and began studying with a local instructor. Maudlin then studied to become a trained opera singer who planned on singing classically at the Jacobs School of Music. However, after the gift of an acoustic Alvarez guitar, Maudlin quickly began writing folk songs and implemented the guitar as a permanent fixture of her performance. Maudlin's biggest influences include Bob Dylan and Ani Difranco, as well as a wide variety of 60's music on which her parents raised her. She has performed for thousands during music festivals but claims her proudest moment was opening for another of her folk idols, Todd Snider. Maudlin continues to perform in the Midwest in hopes of branching out throughout the country. Her powerful pipes and soulful writing invite others to enjoy an intimate performance every time.
First exposed to the art of DJing after moving to The Windy City in 2006, Christopher Noland (aka DJ Hollow Point) found himself immediately enamored with the idea of spinning records. Most would be surprised to learn that the junglist actually traces his roots in electronic music to Chicago house, not drum & bass.
"A friend of mine was an old school house DJ, so I actually cut my DJ teeth on classic Chicago house records," Hollow Point says as he reflects on his earliest memories learning the craft. "Labels like Dust Traxx and Moody Recordings, as well as artists like Paul Johnson, Barbara Tucker and Armand Van Helden were common on the 12" records I'd use to learn the basics of DJing."
It wasn’t long before he found his true calling: drum & bass.
"The best part about discovering drum & bass music was the fact that I had no outside influence on the matter; quite the opposite, actually. My friends begged me to stick with house music, but the rhythm and pace of drum & bass had already made its way into my subconscious."
Just one year later DJ Hollow Point performed his first public set at the Eviction Notice rave in South Chicago Heights. He soon moved to Indianapolis to carve his place in the ranks of the great already-established DJs that ruled the city.
Since that summer, DJ Hollow Point has dedicated himself to pushing the limits of Indianapolis drum & bass, forever finding new ways to blend dubstep, drumstep, trap and moombahton into his own unique brand of deep, heavy drum & bass.
In 2008, Hollow Point began hosting a live weekly radio show called "Introspection" on internet station BoostFM.com. Since joining the G-9 Collective in 2010, Hollow Point has shared the stage with Bare, LTJ Bukem, Dieselboy, Reid Speed, Terravita, Ana Sia, Zeds Dead, Forest Green, roeVy and more.
Always striving to keep drum & bass relevant in Indianapolis, Hollow Point works hard to cultivate growth in the scene and support his fellow bass music DJs. Whether he’s educating the next generation on great music of the past or helping his stalwart fans to appreciate today’s most forward-thinking producers- count on DJ Hollow Point to deliver nothing but the best, every single time.
